BUAFC Women's Premier & Reserves
Our women's premier squad is currently competing in the NRFL Women’s Championship Division in 2024 and our Women’s Reserves competing in the Senior Women’s Division 1 competition.
Why play at BUAFC
It is an exciting time to be a female footballer at Birkenhead United. We as a club believe in equality across both men's and women's football, with shared access to our top notch facilities at Shepherds Park, NZF approved qualified coaches, professional and competitive squad environments, player contracts, physical conditioning workshops, gym facility access and the commitment and dedication of our Women’s and Girls committee to grow the game in the area and offer the best experience possible for all our female members!
Prem Reserves for 2025:
This team plays in the Senior Women's Div 1 league on Sundays. We anticipate this squad will mostly be made up of current U16 players alongside more experienced players currently playing in this team with the expectation first team players will also drop down to get minutes across the season. The idea is this will be a standalone self sustaining team who will largely mirror and align with much of what the First Team are doing. As such some players will be afforded the opportunity to train with the First Team and earn minutes across the season if and when needed. U16 TDP girls will also have access to training and games across the season if and when earned and deemed an appropriate challenge point.
Training: 2 x week - Tues/Thurs at Greville 6:30-8pm
Pre-season trials/training: Jan 28th - April (TBC)
Coaches: Andy Andersen & Annie Lydon
