Why play at BUAFC
It is an exciting time to be a female footballer at Birkenhead United. As a club we believe in equality across both men's and women's football. We aim to grow the game and offer the best experience possible for all our female members with shared access to our top notch facilities at Shepherds Park, NZF approved qualified coaches, professional and competitive squad environments, player contracts, physical conditioning workshops, gym facility access and the commitment and dedication of our Women’s and Girls committee.
Championship Team 2025:
Our women's premier squad is currently competing in the NRFL Women’s Championship Division. Games are played on Sunday afternoons or Friday evenings.
Training: Tuesday - Greville Reserve 6:20-8pm Thursday - Shepherds Park 6:45-8:30pm

Women's Reserves for 2025:
The women’s reserves are competing in the Senior Women’s Division 1 competition with games on Sundays. While a standalone team, the reserves align with much of what the First Team are doing and at times some First team players will join this team to get playing minutes. There will also be some reserves players who will be afforded the opportunity to train with the First Team and earn minutes across the season if and when needed.
Training: 2 x week - Tuesday and Thursday at Greville 6:15-8pm
