Term 4 Skills Centre Programme - Join the Fun!

With Term 4 rapidly approaching, we’re excited to share what’s in store for the Birkenhead United AFC Skills Centre Programme!

Who Can Join

The Term 4 programme is open to all boys and girls who played in 8th to 11th Grade teams in 2023. No trials or assessments are required — just a love for football and a willingness to give it a go!

This is a fantastic opportunity for new players to experience the fun and development offered in our Skills Centre environment.

Sessions will run over 6 Monday evenings starting in November 3rd and will run until December 8th (6 Weeks) and will cost $70.00 for the 6 sessions.

Parent Information Evening:

• We will be holding a Parent's Information Evening on Monday 20th October 2025 at the clubrooms at 6pm. This is designed for new parents to the programme to come and hear about the Skills Centre Programme.  This meeting is designed for parents new to Skills Centre, however current parents are welcome.

Session Times:

• 5:00–6:00 pm – Under 8 & Under 9
• 6:15–7:15 pm – Under 10, Under 11, U9–10 Girls & U11–12 Girls
• Please note: There is no Goal Keeper Training in Term 4.

Programme Focus:

Players will rotate through a variety of fun and engaging activities designed to develop the 4 R’s:

• Releasing, Receiving, Retaining and Running with the Ball

What to Wear:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

• Boots and shin pads are compulsory
• Players can wear their favourite club shirt, a t-shirt, or their blue SKC shirt
• Football socks 
• New to football? Email: juniors@buafc.org.nz if your child needs boots — we may have some available
• Bring a hat and apply sunscreen if it’s sunny

Reminders for Parents:

• Arrive 10 minutes early for drop-off
• Label all clothing and drink bottles
• Ensure your child has sun protection and a water bottle
• Report absences to football@buafc.org.nz

Spectator Info:

Parents are welcome to watch from the edges of the field or relax in the clubrooms viewing balcony.
Note: Clubrooms will be closed on Monday, 3rd November due to another event.
