At Birkenhead United AFC, football is just the beginning. Behind every game, training session, and event is a dedicated group of volunteers who make it all possible. Our club thrives because people like you step up, get involved, and help create the community spirit we’re known for.

Volunteering isn’t just about being a coach or team manager (although we’re always grateful for those roles!). There are so many ways you can contribute, no matter your skills, experience, or how much time you can give:

• Events & Fundraising Team – Help us plan and run fun, memorable events that bring our members together and raise vital funds for the club.

• Saturday Game Day Crew – From setting up the fields in the morning, to helping with scoreboards, BBQs, or half-time teas, you’ll be part of the match-day buzz.

• Communications Team – Share the latest news, results, and stories on our website, social media, or in newsletters.

• Working Bees – Join in on clean-up days to keep our club facilities looking great for everyone.

• Special Skills & Support – Photography, graphic design, sponsorship connections, admin, gear room help, or anything else you’re passionate about – we’d love to tap into your talents.

Whether you can spare an hour a week, lend a hand for one-off events, or take on a bigger role, you’ll be making a real difference to our players, members, and community.

Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, give back to the game, and be part of something bigger than yourself. Every pair of hands helps – and every role matters.
