Birkenhead United AFC: Talent Development Programme Coach

Birkenhead United AFC is a Northern Premier League club that runs a high-quality NZF accredited Talent Development Programme for players aged 12-17.

The club is looking for a part-time coach to work with one of our youth teams within the TDP programme to join us.

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

Essential

• Hold (or working towards) a New Zealand Football C license (or overseas equivalent)
• Willingness to learn and challenge convention in player development
• Well organised, good communicator and punctual
• Ability to work with a team and in a co-coaching context
• Player centred coaching approach
• No ego
• Experience coaching youth players aged 12-17

Desirable

• NZF B licence or higher (or overseas equivalent)
• Desire to work across more than one group (depending on availability)
• Variety of experience in high quality development environments within New Zealand or overseas
• Skills or experience in athlete development, video analysis, strength and conditioning or sports science
