Want to join BUAFC Women's First Team and trial during pre-season?

First Team starts training Sunday 12th of February

Pre-season training will be open to both existing and new players from which a squad will be selected to play in the NRF Conference in 2023.

The focus won’t just be about on-field performance. We will also be looking for individuals that bring a positive and supportive attitude and who can apply themselves not only in training and games, but out in our community too. This helps us to build the foundation of a strong team culture and identity that is recognisable both on and off the pitch and represents Birkenhead United with pride.

We will also be looking at the possibility of offering a well-being programme to the U16’s and First Team to help support players outside of the tactical and technical football training. More on this will follow.

Being a squad member of any first team is not solely about the performance on the field or results. First team players are an example and inspiration to younger

Players at the club and have a duty to support the next generation and help bridge the gap from the youth pathway to senior football. To support this pathway at BUAFC U16 players will be included in the First Team environment as much as possible, starting with U16’s pre-season training running alongside the First Team training.

The club has worked hard to build a ‘Legacy’ beyond 2023, and with the FIFA Women's World Cup here this year and Shepherds Park becoming home to the Azzurre (Italy), now is the time to leverage off this and inspire that next generation to not only want to be part of the Birko family, but to aspire to represent the club in First Team football.

2023 Winter Season Details First Team Games start Sunday 26th March. Matches are typically played at 1pm on Sundays. For full fixtures and results visit the NRF website.
