Update from the Management Committee

To all of the Birko members, players, fans, families, sponsors, partners and to all of you who make up the Red & White Army;

We want you all to know that the management committee are continuing to work to stay abreast of the changes occurring to football because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

These are extraordinary times and we are all experiencing a situation of extreme uncertainty. With the football club as susceptible to the impacts of this situation as you are in your homes and businesses.

However, it is important for us to be confident that when the restrictions lift, and we are once again able to participate and compete on the football pitch, that the club will be ready and able to facilitate this. And we can confirm that the club is in a very strong position to be able to whether this storm and provide for the community once normal service resumes, whatever that may look like.

Lastly, we also need to advise that at this time we are unable to offer refunds on registration fees until we have certainty on the lock-down, what the process through the Levels will mean for football and what that means for this season.

We will update you next week once we have received updated information and more clarity from the government, the Federation and NZ Football.
